Lindsey McReynolds APRN-CNM

Nurse Practitioner & Midwife

I began working with Moms and Babies in hospital labor & delivery, postpartum, and nursery as a surgical assistant and tech when I was just 18 years old. The birth of my first child at age 17 and my experience in labor and birth as a tech inspired me to become an RN, and I finished my schooling as an RN in 2010. As an RN, I was passionate about the Mom and Baby relationship and learned how important the breastfeeding relationship is in basic newborn health as well as maternal mental health, and I became a lactation consultant in 2012. By 2017, I had assisted in a plethora of labor and birth emergencies ~often caused by intervening with the natural birth process~ and began looking for a way to make a real impact in maternal and newborn outcomes and connect with my patients on a different level. I knew that to change outcomes, I needed to be a provider— and I needed to be a provider who listens to her patients. I finished my Master’s degree in 2021 and have had the privilege of being a birth center Midwife for hundreds of Moms over the past 5 years.

It is my mission to make those in my care feel heard and understood, and I pride myself in being a provider that feels like your friend. You’re in charge of your health, and I would love to be in charge of keeping you safe while you bring your new baby EarthSide. When evaluating a woman for fertility, hormone imbalances, and PCOS, I take a root-cause approach and don’t believe that birth control is an answer to these issues. If you’ve been told “birth control is the treatment” or “just lose weight” or “your labs look fine” and you’re looking for a deeper answer, this type of care is definitely right for you :-)

Taylor Johnson CLD (DONA), RT

Certified Labor Doula, Respiratory Therapist, & Birth Assistant

My name is Taylor Johnson, I am a respiratory therapist of nine years. I attended an eighteen month program and received an associates in respiratory care. I have four years of ICU experience at a level 1 trauma center in California. In 2021 God called me to make an unexpected decision to become a stay at home mom. We had only just moved to Oklahoma five months prior. I quickly fell into the role of mom first, work second and I don’t regret it for a second! In 2022 I had my second son at a local hospital and my birth experience was traumatic, none of my preferences were respected, I was spoken to horribly and coerced into signing things I didn’t understand. That lit a fire in me and I dove deep into researching how to advocate for women. I became a certified doula in March of 2024! I then became pregnant with my third baby in April of 2024 and swore I would do it differently, Lindsey was my midwife and our meetings were so relaxed. I felt as if I was hanging out with my friend. My birth was amazing from start to finish and my recovery was even better. Having now experienced the care I watched so many women receive, i strongly believe this is the way women were intended to be treated their entire pregnancy. I feel so passionate about women’s health, pregnancy, birth and delivery as well as the oh so fragile postpartum journey. I’m so proud to be part of this group of women with various backgrounds to bring something so great and so needed to our area!!!

Zowie Hargis CLD (DONA), LPN, Student RN

Certified Labor Doula, Nurse, & Birth Assistant

My mother was previously a labor and delivery nurse so I learned a lot about pregnancy and birth throughout my childhood. Now that she's a midwife, she's introduced me to the world of out-of-hospital birth. I fell in love with everything about the environment. Birth is such a beautiful thing, and it was my dream to be a part of it. Now I feel so fortunate to call myself a Doula and a Nurse. Pregnancy is such a delicate time filled with complex emotions, both good and bad. I love that I have the privilege to guide and support couples through this time". My favorite birth affirmation is "My contractions can never be stronger than me because the are me" because the affirmation "is a beautiful, encouraging reminder that your contractions are your body and baby working together. They're not going to overcome you, because they *are* you and I think that's very important to remember in the midst of labor".
