is a Nurse Practitioner Midwife owned Birth Center Practice that cares for Women and Babies.
Located in the beautiful Selah Wellness Community in Norman, Ok, we’re determined to bring healthcare back to its roots- where Selah and all communities ~near and far~ can access healthcare in a comfortable, homelike setting instead of a busy doctor’s office.
What We Do
Prenatal Care and Birth Center Birth
We believe that birth is a natural process that occasionally needs medical intervention. At Selah Health, we offer standard bloodwork, ultrasounds, and prenatal visit to ensure that your pregnancy is healthy. We trust that the body is capable of growing, birthing, and feeding your baby. We also trust the body when it tells us that things are abnormal—we use medical treatments, additional testing, and conventional medicine when necessary.
Breastfeeding help and Tongue Ties
Lactation assistance is available to anyone-not only those who give birth here at Selah Health. Whether you’re preparing for birth, interested in a weight and latch check for your baby, or troubleshooting latch or weight gain, a lactation appointment will set your mind at ease. There are 3 main goals: Feed the baby, preserve the milk supply, and help the Mom meet her breastfeeding goals. For more information see “lactation”
Check Ups, Sick Visits, and GYN
We strive to be your one-stop-shop for healthcare- Using a Nurse Practitioner Midwife for all your regular health needs, like GYN care, colds, stomach bugs (or hangovers!) a general “I want some labwork” check ins, and hormone/fertility care is an healthcare experience you simply won’t get elsewhere. If you’re looking for a laid-back, small town feel for your care, we’d love to serve you. We use food, plants, movement, and prescription medicine in your care.
Fertility and PCOS
Fertility, hormone imbalances, and PCOS are often complex and interlinked. After an initial consult with a “sit and chat” format (no pelvic exam necessary unless you have a specific complaint), together we can decide labs that you want/need and make a follow up schedule. Once all lab results are back, you will have a follow up consult to review results and make a personalized plan for any lifestyle changes, supplements, and medications needed. We take a “deep dive” approach to find root causes instead of masking symptoms
Pediatric Care for Newborns
Well baby care is available to any Newborn under 28 days old, not only those who give birth here at Selah Health. We believe in well informed decision making, especially regarding vaccination, formula, and medications. You will be well supported in any decisions you make for your baby and will not be pushed toward on decision or another. Instead, your individual values, beliefs, and research are heard and respected and medical advice is offered when needed.
IV infusions/ Blood Work
IV infusions are available for a wide variety of complaints including migraines, cold/flu, sports recovery, or just general hydration. If you wake up feeling drained or under the weather, text and come by for an infusion. Many times women have done their own research and have specific requests for blood work and testing, but are overlooked or undermined by doctors and the traditional healthcare system. If you have a specific concern, you deserve to be heard. Call for a consult to discuss and schedule testing.
